B. J. Clark, a native Knoxvillian, is an award-winning artist whose recent honors and awards include East TN Historical Society, Dogwood Arts Regional Art Exhibition, Tennessee Watercolor Society, Tennessee Artists, Oak Ridge Art Center Regional Show, Kentucky Watercolor Society National Exhibition and Boston, Massachusetts National Exhibition.

Her paintings grace private collections throughout the United States, and in seven countries abroad. They are included in over 60 corporate Collections including The Gannett Foundation, William B. Stokely Foundation, Eastern Airlines, Bechtel-Jacobs Corp., Baptist, UT, and St. Mary's Hospitals, Home Federal, and TVA.

Notable private collections include Walter Cronkite, TN Congressman Duncan, and actor/singer Pat Boone.

She has been honored with over sixteen one-woman shows during the last 15 years including "From Tennessee's Best", Arts Council, "Artist of the Month", and East Tennessee Baptist Hospital.

Museums: Her work has been exhibited in The Parthenon, Nashville, TN, The Hunter Museum, Chattanooga, TN, The Knoxville Museum of Art, The J. B. Speed Art Museum, Louisville, Ky., the University of Tennessee's Ewing Gallery, Knoxville, TN, The Kentucky Old State Capitol Museum, Frankfort, KY.

Education: University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN; Louisville School of Art, Louisville, KY; Bellarmine College, Louisville, KY; and San Jancinto College, Houston, TX.

Gallery Affiliations: In Knoxville, her original paintings are exhibited by The Art Market Gallery, The Art & Antiques Gallery (Worlds Fair park), and several Galleries in Hilton Head Island, SC .and Southern Market. Her limited edition prints are available through most area galleries (including The Art & Antiques Gallery, Worlds Fair Park) from the artist, and Southern Market, Knoxville, TN.

Artist memberships: Tennessee Watercolor Society (Signature member), Kentucky Watercolor Society, Tennessee Artists Association, Southern Watercolor Society, Art Group 21 and The Knoxville Watercolor Society.

Her work has been published in American Artists, Leading Contemporaries, It's All About Children, & Artists of Tennessee. Newspapers: The Knoxville New Sentinel, The Knoxville Journal, Press Enterprise.

Professional Affiliations: She has served as President of The Tennessee Watercolor Society, The Art Market Gallery, The Tennessee Artists Association, and the Knoxville Watercolor Society. She served on the boards of American Heart Association (Houston, Texas) and Board Member for eight years with The Florence Crittenton Agency in Knoxville, TN.

In 1998 she was selected for lifetime membership in Who's Who, National Registry.

B. J. paints mainly in watercolor but also enjoys Pastel, Pen/Ink drawings, Acrylic and mixed media. "I want my paintings to evoke a feeling, and to be a tangible, visible reference to that feeling, one which can be revisited many times, and remain fresh and vibrant."
