Artist Statement:
Kim Nixon believes in artwork that reminds us of our past while
transcending the present. She often employs pattern to bridge the gap
between what is background, where we have come from, to what we see
in front of us. You never are quite sure what is most important but
are led to not care and invited to dream with her. The wide cut
strips of hand dyed wool mesmerize you with their mosaic beauty and
set up their own rhythm, offering images that stir universal
associations.
