Lampworking is the art of manipulating different colored glass rods in
a flame. In my case, I use this technique to create unique,
one-of-a-kind beads that I use to design my jewelry. There is
something magical about working with molten glass, and I look forward
to spending time at the torch every chance I get!
I am constantly inspired by nature and love to experiment with color,
pattern, and texture. My goal is to capture a sense of whimsy and
individual style. Like a lovingly gathered collection of tiny
treasures, I want my glass beads to be beautiful and unique on their
own but create an interesting conversation when grouped together.
I received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Tennessee in
Knoxville in 2001. Since then I have worked as a freelance graphic
designer and a letterpress printer, but currently I enjoy exploring
various forms of fiber art and creating lampwork beads and jewelry.
